How Did SO-CTEP Begin?
SO-CTEP was developed through a collaboration with the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Burapha University, Thailand, to support clinical training, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of academic expertise at an international level.
This partnership aims to create structured opportunities for Applied Thai Traditional Medicine students from Burapha University to participate in clinical training under supervision in Australia. The program provides participants with hands-on experience, professional skill development, and cross-cultural learning within the context of a modern healthcare system.
Participants will gain exposure to clinical service systems, healthcare standards, and patient care approaches aligned with the Australian healthcare system, which plays an important role in preparing healthcare professionals with globally relevant competencies.
In the long term, SO-CTEP aims to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, research, and professional experience back to Thailand in order to strengthen rehabilitation services, enhance workforce capacity, and support healthcare system integration in alignment with international standards.
What is SO-CTEP?
SO-CTEP is a collaborative program focused on clinical training and knowledge exchange. It was developed to connect knowledge in applied Thai traditional medicine with healthcare systems and professional standards in Australia.
The program emphasizes knowledge development, supervised clinical practice, and the advancement of supportive healthcare standards at an international level.
What Will Participants Gain from the Program?
Participants will gain hands-on learning and practical experience in a structured clinical environment under systematic supervision, including:
- Clinical service processes
- Professional standards in patient care
- Practice approaches aligned with the Australian healthcare system
In addition to learning and exchanging knowledge about healthcare systems in Australia, participants will also have opportunities to apply what they have studied through analysis, evaluation, and discussions with supervisors in real-world settings. This reflects a genuine two-way knowledge exchange process.
Upon successful completion, participants may have the opportunity to receive a Diploma of Remedial Massage (subject to the conditions and standards of the relevant training institution), an important step toward advancing their professional career at an international level.
